FRIENDS OF CALEB FAHEY
A Voice for the Community

MEET CALEB FAHEY
My name is Caleb Fahey. I’m a husband, a father of six, a pastor, and a man redeemed by grace.
I grew up in the church and was homeschooled until sixth grade, when I entered public school and quickly found myself overwhelmed. I struggled with bullying and with feeling like I didn’t have a voice. Unreconciled trauma from my early years became a gateway, and by middle school, I had been introduced to drugs. For nearly two decades, I was a functioning addict—working hard in blue-collar industries as a heavy machinery operator, machinist, and railroad repairman—yet quietly unraveling on the inside.
Eventually, addiction caught up with me. I was arrested, ran from my consequences, and ended up homeless on the streets of Tacoma, Seattle, and Portland. My turning point came after an overdose that nearly took my life. In that moment, I knew I didn’t want to die, and I didn’t want to leave that legacy for my daughter. I turned myself in, faced my charges, completed my sentence, and entered treatment.
But the real transformation came when I encountered God behind bars. That moment changed everything. Upon release, I met and married my wife, Shannon, and the evidence of the change in my life was undeniable—even the Department of Corrections granted me early termination. Together, Shannon and I launched a recovery ministry that brought hope into jails, recovery centers, and our local community.
Today, I have full custody of my daughter Annmarie and am a proud father to a beautiful, blended family—Sabrina, Charliemae, Eleanor, Joshua, and a growing legacy with our granddaughter Melody and grandson on the way. I serve as an associate and children’s pastor at Sozo Church in Tacoma, and I’m committed to fighting for the overlooked, the broken, and the unprotected.
I know firsthand what happens when trauma goes unaddressed and when voices go unheard. That’s why I’m running—to be a voice for our children, to stand for righteousness, and to help build a future where every child knows they matter. That they have purpose and their life holds value.
